Rock &amp; Plays are awesome but aren&rsquo;t safe for overnight sleeping so you&rsquo;ll definitely need a flat bassinet. This one is super aesthetically pleasing which is something I selfishly really care about LOL, a really good size without being too big, will be perfect for living room hangs, bedside sleeping in our room until baby&rsquo;s old enough to sleep in crib and to take to grandparents houses/babysitters and have peace-of-mind knowing your baby is sleeping somewhere safe. It folds up and is lightweight. Wish I would&rsquo;ve had it the first time and will definitely recommend to other parents. We have to put his head on the non mesh side with the warning labels so that his feet are not above his head. We put him to bed with his head right at the top, and by morning his legs are squished at the bottom of the bassinet. It is perfect for a newborn baby . easy to pack up when your on the run . The sound machine is perfect. Do not recommend as the &ldquo; bed &ldquo; or mattress that you lay your child on is truly in a &ldquo; basket &ldquo; with mesh on sides and sways with movement . Also if baby is on one side vs other is lop-sided and leans down.
