When my son was presented with the exersaucer he was so excited and began exploring right away. I put all 3 stages together myself without any difficulty. All the toys stayed in place and worked well. She loved all the musical features and played them over and over..and over. The only thing that broke was the monkey arch thing because Dad try to carry it from that piece. Younger brother is almost 4months and we are ready for another go round with this price. Now that we have tried using it, turns out it has a major issue with one of the main functions of the exersaucer: bouncing!! It's aesthetically great and has cool toys but prevents baby bouncing since the legs lock after a few bounces. That to me seems to defeat the purpose of the entire thing! I wish there was a way to lock this or that we could have held back on buying it so we could return it. We never used the first stage because ours was missing the playmat and by the time I had it assembled (very hard to assemble) I couldn't be bothered to unassemble and return. The exersaucer stage is okay but the toys come off easily and I bit disappointed with the toys functionality. We just setup the 3rd stage and it is so flimsy and such poor design. We aren't even going to use it anymore. If you are thinking of buying this product because of the 3 stages don't! There are great shapes and sounds but it is all mostly smooth surfaces except the crinkle butterflies and leaves and the blue birds hair. The dragonfly does have textures but maybe put more like that on the parts lower to the child. If you have a child that is on the tall side they quickly grow out of it and once they no longer wished to be seated for long periods its use less. I was expecting more stability once it was on its own legs but unfortunately we feel it is a liability. Our daughter generally likes it 2. There are lots of things for her to do on it 3. Lots of things that make noise and move. Cons: 1. Retainers for attachments are WEAK. The first day she was in it, she removed the toucan/parrot hybrid of a bird 2. One of the four legs rotates on its own which results in it locking and will not spring. Which causes it to bounce unevenly and not very far 3. End pieces for when it is converted to an activity center &quot;stage 3&quot; are supposed to be attached under the table, but they fall off their retainers. 4. The feet for &quot;stage 1&quot; that attach the palm tree and toys, do not prevent the feet from rotating, if they rotate too far, it becomes unstable and will fall/get pulled down. 5. The alligator sections separate and are tethered, but they generally fall too far away for the baby to grab them again. So, once they are scattered, she has no more interest in the alligator. 6. Many children very quickly outgrow them. Our daughter could already stand flat foot in it at 5 months and is in theory too big for stage 2 even though she was about 27&quot; tall, well short of the advertised maximum.
