In that time, it has run down a set of AAA batteries DAILY on the &quot;book&quot; module with the pages that turn for three songs. Using an ammeter, I see that the electrical draw is the same whether it is playing or not, around 170mA. The other modules show extremely low power draw, and their batteries have never been changed. Seeing that this product (for obvious reasons) has only a 90 day warranty, which was up before the box was even opened (again for obvious reasons), I decided to have a look inside. I am am electrical engineer by education, and I have seen some pretty badly designed things before, but this thing exceeds all boundaries. It looks like it was assembled by a child supervised by a monkey. There are two lights that do absolutely nothing, enormous solder blobs all over the place, components are misaligned on the circuit board, and some wires are glued in place with glow covering cold and cracked solder joints. To be frank, you practically need to TRY to build something just this badly. My husband was able to put it together in less than 30 minutes, very easy to put together. It does require a large amount of batteries, but that is because each toy on it has its own compartment for the batteries, these toys can then be removed and played with on the floor, on a mat, or wherever. We did put our LO in it, and he LOVED it. I can't wait until he can bounce in it and really enjoy it all. It is a bit pricey, but in my opinion well worth it! Per Babies R Us' suggestion, Duracell batteries are recommended for purchase along with the Exersaucer Jump &amp; Learn Jam Activity Center - Jam Session. Unfortunately I am now reading the product manufacturer's customer service reps are citing Duracell batteries as a possible cause for the toy's malfunctioning components. Once the batteries were installed we discovered only two of the attached toys actually work. Same thing - he had strong neck and head control.
