My baby isn't particularly gassy and they don't have colic so I can't honestly say how good the venting it. I liked this bottle though because It holds as much as most of my plastic bottles. It takes less time to sanitize though which is nice because I hate sanitizing things. He has never had an issue rejecting a bottle (we've tried 3 kinds) and these Evenflo glass bottles were no different. Gassiness and colic have never been an issue and weren't with these bottles either. What I really like about these bottles is that they are super easy to clean because they don't have a bunch of extra parts. I also feel like glass just gets cleaner than plastic. The size and weight were good. I never thought they were too heavy or like they would break. Another advantage of not having all the extra parts is that there isn't a last little bit of milk left in the parts after the feeding. With breast milk, that last little bit the baby doesn't drink is hard to see gone to waste. One downside to glass bottles is that if you drop them or knock then over they make a ton of noise. We have used these bottles with my 8 week old daughter and, as a predominantly breastfed baby, she has had no issues taking to these. They are just as effective at reducing gas and after-feeding fussiness as other vented bottles we've tried, yet there are no extra pieces to clean (or lose.) Because they are glass, they are so easy to sanitize and there is less concern about over exposure to plastics. (The nipple ring is plastic, however.) Our only real issue is that even the slow flow nipple drips quite a bit. It'd be nice if there were an option for an even slower flow nipple or possibly an active flow nipple for breastfed babies transitioning to a bottle.
