I got her the purple one, and I loved the lights and cup holders. After about two weeks, I went to take the seat out of my car and it tumbled out onto the ground very gently. The &quot;padding&quot; that is in this seat is actually a hard,thick styrofoam type. When the seat hit the ground, the styrofoam on one of the sides completely snapped in half. I went to Toys R Us to exchange the seat for a new one, but BOTH of the display seats that they had were broken in the exact same way, the back just completely snapped in half! I decided to go with a different seat altogether at that point. Don't let the lights and bright colors fool you, think safety first! The seat is light and easy to put together. My daughter was so excited to be in a booster seat instead of a &quot;baby&quot; car seat as she put it. I thought getting the booster seat would also make life easier for me since I have 3 kids in car seats. My daughter is tall for her age and I felt like the seat belt did not sit correctly on my daughter in this car seat. She also had way too much freedom and movement in the car seat where I felt if we were in a crash, the seat belt would not keep her secure. My daughter was unable to buckle herself in this car seat. She was able to buckle herself in her old car seat. Having to buckle one more kid just made it harder on me. It was nice to have the cup holders and lights on the car seat, but having them are not enough of a draw to keep using the seat. I feel much better having my daughter in a 5 point harness still. At first I was a bit concern that it wouldn't be as safe or sturdy, but I'm pleased with it. My daughter loves the lights and shows everyone when she has a chance. As with any carseat, the cupholders are a plus. I like these cupholders because they're not too big, so her trinkets don't end up being left and then eventually lost in the future. the seat was easy to put together. While my daughter is big enough to just have the seat without the back and headrest...she loves having the headrest. It is easy for her to buckle herself. Overall it's a great seat. It does seem a big light as far as weight, but again, her old seat is a monster. I realize transitioning from a 5 point harness to a booster it doesn't have to be as bulky. Very quick and easy to assemble (we left the back on for now, but its very easy to remove when the time comes). My daughter, almost 6, loves this seat! She said its more &quot;comfy&quot; than the Graco one we have, and she likes the cup holders. There are thick fabric elastic holders to keep drinks in place. Luckily we haven't had anything spill on the seat yet, but the fabric seems stain and water resistant. Its a smooth, wipable surface, rather than a textured surface. And lastly, the seat belt is easy to strap in b/c the seat is the perfect size for my car. Some boosters are a tad wider, which makes getting the seatbelt to buckle a task. My 6 year old had been in a backless booster and the belt never seemed to fit him quite right across his body. We've moved him into this booster seat and the fit is perfect, much more appropriate and much safer for him! He also feels that it's significantly more comfortable than sitting in a backless booster. The setup could not have been easier. It comes partially assembled in the box with the cushions in place, we just slipped the straps into place for the cushions and snapped the back on and were ready to roll. Easiest assembly of a baby product I've ever seen! The sides that protect the ribs are made of STYROFOAM and have broken already!! I will be returning it today and purchasing a Graco booster with a LATCH attachment instead.
