We have used it with two different size car seats and it installs super easy and fit both easily. You don't have to take it off to get baby in our out, there is a front zip you can use to open the canopy to take a peek at baby or get then in or out of the car seat. The fabric is soft, washable and breatheable. Baby stays warm, but still gets airflow. It is dark and so provides shade.
