The award-winning Dreambaby Indoor/Outdoor Retractable Gate is a versatile gate that can be used inside and outdoors as it's made from a UV treated durable mesh to keep it from fading in the sun. The gate is hardware mounted and comes with two sets of mounting brackets for easy use in more than one place. It can be unclipped from one set of brackets and easily relocated to the other set of brackets. Fits narrow to wider openings up to 55" and is suitable for doorways, hallways and stairs.
*The loud sound is to alert parents that the gate is being opened. For silent opening, you must turn the top knob on the gate while you retract the gate with your other hand.

I was aware of this awesome product from a friend who is currently using it, and wanted one so bad The quality of the material is good. You can install it in the doorway or stairway. Easy installation which comes with useful and easy to read instructions. It also comes with the mounts. It doesn't hang back and forth like the cheap wooden/plastic gates once they losen up. It's used for pets and children. It looks sturdy, but I feel nervous because (that's just the way I am) to install the gate up the stairs for a toddler like mine who is very destructive even if the material looks good and sturdy.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a toddler and stairs we have went through a few different gates due to how my stairway is set up. We decided to install this gate at the bottom due to the mesh lining is not the greatest. Installation was easy and the directions were easy to follow. To retract the gate using one hand on the knob is a bit difficult but hopefully after time it will loosen up and not be so hard. It is very loud when it retracts so just a heads up on that. Overall this gate is pretty sturdy and has a nice look to it. Compared to gates we have used in the past I am not a big fan of the mesh lining just for the fact that if you put the gate at the top of stairs your child could easily wiggle through. My cat has already managed to get through the small gap at the bottom.</span>

First, the packaging was wonderful. We had a hurricane rain and the box was soaked, but everything inside was preserved with nice bags and wrapping. The installation was great. This product has so many options and applications. We chose the configuration that worked for us, used the templates provided, and not long after we had functioning gates. I will say we have an older home and had to do some figuring around the banister and railing but made it function perfectly. Then we had a problem. With the baby we wanted to keep the cats from coming upstairs and they could crawl under the gate. We studied it for a while and bingo - all we had to do was change the configuration. We used the appropriate template, unscrewed, and reattached everything. Now it works just as good as before, looks great, and keeps the cats out. Using the gate holding baby does take some getting used to, however the other benefits definitely outweigh this. I also like the fact that when we no long need to block the stairs we can use it to block off other rooms (cat room). Thank you!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I receieved this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. My husband installed this gate. The directions were clear. No issues. Gate slides excellent. Handle is a bit tricky at first. I'm absolutely loving it. We purchased a cheap standard gate and I hated having to move it or step over it... And at this point my 7 month old dog was able to just jump the standard right into my baby nursery. This gate is taller and it works excellent. Absolutely love it. I do wish it was available in other colors though as white is a bit difficult to keep clean with multiple usage daily.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This gate was exactly what we were looking for as it is retractable and doesn't take up much space at all. However this gate was extremely unfuncional, it requires two hand to even open or close it. And considering it's a baby gate, that second hand is often not available. I would not recommend this gate in a high traffic area like a hall way, which is what we purchased ours for. In addition the actual install of the gate was a pain and the instructions were very complicated. We ended up returning the gate. I wouldn't recommend this product if it's going to be put in an area where you walk through daily.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Retractable gates are great for space-saving and convenience. This one is great for those reasons, but it is pretty finicky. You need two hands to open/close the gate - one to press down/turn the nob, and another to pull the gate out; not the best if you are holding a baby at the same time. The nob also seems to get stuck easily. In addition, it's easy to pull the entire gate off the mounting device, unless you pull it perfectly level to the ground. We have friends who have the retract-a-gate, and this gate works really, really well... but it's more expensive. This gate is okay for the price, and it's fine for the most part.</span>

Hence attaching it to the hook is a bit difficult. Do not want to drill another two holes in the doorway to correct it.</span>

Bonjour, Le portail r&eacute;tractable convient pour une utilisation en haut des escaliers. Lorsque le portail est ouvert, il se r&eacute;tracte compl&egrave;tement et il n'a pas de base ou de barre inf&eacute;rieure, &eacute;liminant tout risque de tr&eacute;buchement.
