<span itemprop="description">I was given this product to test in exchange for my honest review. In my opinion, this is a high quality baby bottle that would work well for most babies. First, the good: As a parent that is concerned about harmful chemicals leaching from plastic baby bottles, I was happy to see Dr. Brown's offering a glass option. The glass held up well through multiple washings and the bottle did not leak. My baby who had previously been drinking from Dr. Brown’s narrow plastic bottles readily accepted this bottle and its similar design. Now for the bad: Something about the design of this bottle made my baby gassier than usual. I don’t know if it’s the extra air at the top of the bottle since it’s taller or a difference in the venting system. My baby has a sensitive stomach though and I know this will not be everyone’s experience with this bottle. Like other Dr. Brown’s bottles there are a lot of parts. The venting system is necessary for us, but it’s still annoying to wash. The silicone sleeve just seemed like another unnecessary extra part and we discontinued use of it after the first few times. All in all though, I still think this is one of the better glass bottles we have tried and I would recommend it to other parents.</span>

<span itemprop="description">As far as glass bottles go, this one was great. The numbers are super easy to read, and it heats up easily in a bowl of warm water. I also loved that the top and inserts were interchangeable with some of the older Dr. Browns bottle parts. My only negative is that because it is glass, you just have to be careful. I wouldn’t necessarily use this for a baby that can hold/toss their own bottle.</span>

I did not have a problem with leakage, which I sometimes would get with other Dr. Brown bottles. The other bottles I have are plastic, and mostly for 4 oz so the weight difference was notable, as it is a bit harder on my wrist, but it is not a limiting factor. I used without the silicone sleeve as I had problems getting them on and off the bottle.</span>

No issues leaking, no issues with the internal parts, no changes in my daughter’s acceptance of the bottle or tolerance. The only downfall I see in the bottle is the weight when holding a full bottle at the start of a feeding, but I believe it would be that way for any glass bottle (I am just used to plastic). Overall, a great option for those interested in an alternative to plastic bottles! I would definitely recommend giving them a try!</span>

Thank you for your inquiry. At Dr. Brown&rsquo;s we carry both Standard/Narrow bottles and Wide-Neck (or wide-mouth) bottles. While there are differences between the two, here&rsquo;s what&rsquo;s the same: &bull;	Both types of bottles have the same internal vent system that improves feeding experiences &bull;	Both offer the same consistent nipple flow levels, from Ultra-Preemie to Y-Cut. There is no wrong choice for bottles; it just comes down to baby&rsquo;s latch. Standard/narrow bottles: When you see bottles called &ldquo;standard&rdquo; or &ldquo;narrow&rdquo; it is the same kind of bottle. These are thinner bottle vessels that feature narrow nipples. Some babies like these bottles because it allows them to engage the entire nipple when latching. Dr. Brown&rsquo;s Narrow bottles are the most recommended bottle by pediatricians and are often used in NICUs and hospitals for babies with feeding difficulties. Wide-Neck (wide-mouth) bottles: Wide-neck bottles are also called wide-mouth bottles because they offer a wider, sloped nipple that is shaped like a breast. This makes them great for breastfed babies and babies with a wider latch. Dr. Brown&rsquo;s Options+ Wide-Neck Bottle, in particular, has a 93% acceptance rate among babies.
