In addition to "typical doll hair" she also has some small braids for a different look. The dress on ours does have a small snag/hole in the bottom but is most likely an isolated instance. The only way to improve this would be to find a way to make her both thr mermaid Ariel and the human Ariel instead of having to purchase two different dolls.</span>

Firstly it's a Mattel product so like other products from this company it's really well put together and highly detailed, looks pretty close to the character.
It's also pretty much a little mermaid version of an extremely popular Mattel product which shall go un named in this review but i'm sure you know who I'm talking about hahahaha.
The kids had great fun playing around with this and the Ursula figure too, good wholesome fun and it was great to see thier faces light up when they seen them.
Great product, if you are a fan of the franchise you'll probably appreciate this line.</span>

The hair looks exactly as it dies in the movie, with a mixture of braids and straight hair. They’ve both played with the doll but have gotten bored with it. The doll has movable arms and legs but the legs are quite stiff.
Maybe an additional toy or change of clothes included to make it even more enjoyable to play with.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty doll. Looks very much like the Ariel from the film, even with the mole above her left eye. She has two types of hair - the top layer is yarn like and the bottom layer is like standard doll hair. She only bends at the shoulder and hips. The dress looks very much like the one from the film as well and she wears brown sandals. We have not seen the movie yet, so my daughter hasn’t incorporated her much into play yet. I’m glad she doesn’t have the articulated wrists that break easily like many of the newer Disney dolls (Zombies/Descendants). We have several one-handed Mals and Audreys.</span>

So nice to not see a sterotyplical "barbie" we have been collecting all the barbies that dont look like the old blonde typical barbies. Wish you could interchange disney characters outfits is our only complaint.</span>

They love to play with toys that offer realistic characteristics and this is exactly that. On top of that it pairs up with the movie which is of course and added bonus! Only thing it is missing is accessories.</span>
