My daughter and i opened the package together. The aforementioned is recommended because especially if the child is a under 7. My child enjoyed the launchers on the sides of the cockpit. We used the ship with another disney ship. However, the other ship is not part of the Hyperspeed collection. Zurg is a villian so we needed a hero. The cockpit and landing gear in my opinion are hard to open even for an adult. Once you get the cockpit open you can fit a scaled Zurg figure that comes with the set inside. We flew from area to area in my basement pretending like we were exploring strange new worlds. There were no lights or sounds on the ship which i felt would have helped with engagement. This product is good if you use imagination to play with it. However the lack of a handle to open the cockpit and only able to fit one figure inside the craft holds it back from being great.</span>

They are hard for my child to get out and are almost too small for me to get out. He loves to play with it with his other Lego and small toys that can fit in the cockpit of the starship. I do wish that it was a little bigger so that the figure that comes with it was not so small. He enjoys flying it though the air and pretending to be in a battle with his other toys.</span>
