The Hyperspeed Series includes a fleet of vehicles inspired by the vehicles and spacecraft from Disney and Pixar's Lightyear. These toys represent cool spaceships, ground vehicles and pods, including Buzz Lightyear's speedy XL rocket ships and each comes with a small character figure to pilot the way to adventure. The vehicles are approximately 6 inches long with fold out landing gear! The figures are approximately 1.5 inches tall with movable joints to let them to sit in the cockpit. The series includes vehicles and figures of both heroes and foes, for recreating Lightyear storylines and simulating exciting battle play! The vehicles include movie-accurate decoration and detail. The only moving parts on it are the landing gear and the cockpit. Does include a little dude that fits inside of the cockpit perfectly and is actually a nice addition to the spaceship. Again though it is a pretty boring toy overall. Woulda been nice if the wings or something like that would move as well just to seem a bit more realistic and being its a disney product you would expect more from this toy espcially at its price point. I played with it along with my nieces and even they couldnt keep engaged with it. Might be a great toy for a toddler though if you dont give them the little dude but as for an older child it really depends on what they like. Seems to be pretty durable as well!</span>

The jet is a great size for small hands to grip and play with around the house. The small pull out feet make it easy to display on flat surfaces. The Buzz Lightyear character that goes in the jet is very small. The jet's cockpit hatch closes properly and the small Buzz Lightyear character sits nicely inside. This is a great toy for pretend/imagination play with kids being able to fly it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lightyear Hyperspeed Series XL-07 spaceship and Buzz Lightyear figurine are from Disney's upcoming Lightyear movie which has not been released at the time of this review so I can't speak to how accurate the toy is to the movie. My 4 year old son played with both the XL-02 and XL-07 for a total of less than 2 minutes before ignoring them. I've tried leaving the toys in front of him and prominently around our home to see if he would eventually pick it back up but unfortunately the answer is no.
The build is decent and lightweight, the XL-02 of the same toy series is more intricate in terms of mold. There are 4 points of articulation on the ship: the translucent canopy on top which reveals the cockpit and 3 landing gears on the bottom which do not roll, mainly to act as a stand. The green Buzz Lightyear figurine has 4 points of articulation: the two arms and two legs can move independent of each other. The fin also moves slightly back and forth although that is more likely due to it being a separate pieces of plastic than the rest of the spaceship and not intended to move.
While the figure can sit inside the cockpit, it does not add much other value as you can hardly tell if its sitting inside or not. The figure does not resemble Buzz Lightyear and is too small to actively play with and poses more of a choking hazard than anything if you have other kids younger than the recommended age 4 and over.
This spaceship is more of a model to put on your kid's desk or window sill and less of a toy you or your kid would play with.</span>

The XL-07 (Star fighter) is very pleasantly decorated, it actually resembles the ship portrayed in another movie. Very good detail in the molding, you can clearly see the fine details, as well as a good use of color. The packaging is very well done, very solidly sealed the toy inside. The biggest concern for me, is the size of the Buzz Lightyear figure, it is VERY VERY small (1&1/4" tall) yet it is rated at 4+ years old. I believe this rating is too low, should be at least a 6+ rating. Product deserves a solid 4.5 star rating. Pleasantly happy with the joy my son found with this toy.</span>

He takes it everywhere we go, he is 3 years old and it’s a perfect size for him to carry and play with. It is made out of very good quality plastic, the wheels on the bottom come out and so far are holding very well. The colors are very realistic and the pilot fits perfectly in the plane. The pilot is pretty small so I would be careful to give it to a younger child but all the other parts seem to be very firmly staying in place. We will definitely purchase more planes from the same collection!</span>
