I keep it in the kitchen on the counter to avoid any spills because the top can come off. The other thing is I used batteries and it seems to keep shutting off after a while so I would recommend just plugging it into the wall. It comes with both options. If you're interested in buying this and wondering if it's worth it... I like that a usb power cable is included, but if you prefer wireless, it will also run on 4 AA batteries that aren&rsquo;t included. It isnt hard to set up at all. Its a very good product to have especially if you have a racing mind and newd something to focus on or dealing with anxiety or depression helps. The video posted does not do the colors justice they are very pretty and colorful i have ot sitting where my whole family can enjoy and my kiddos sit around it and just watch the jellyfish float up and down. The only thong i do not like is the fact that it turns cloudy everyday. I used just regular tap water and a little bit of dish soap in ot and i used filter water with a little.soap in it. I also do not have it running at night only for the only reason i have cats and do not know how they will react to it so that could be why also. Some lights and the most minuscule of movements from the jellyfish. The biggest drawbacks though? The lack of thought behind the product. For one, the compartment containing a good liter of water doesn&rsquo;t have a tight fitting lid. So one wrong move and it&rsquo;s bye bye laminate flooring. Don&rsquo;t set it next to anything you care about&hellip;or electronics! Another major issue in my opinion is the fact that you are supposed to use plain old tap water and then &ldquo;change it out when it looks cloudy&rdquo;. Um&hellip;excuse me?? So basically I wait around until there&rsquo;s visible mold and bacterial growth?? She also likes nightlights in her room, so this checked both boxes. The lamp is pretty and works well. The ability to change the light display is great for her. But, it does require a decent amount of water to fill the container so the jellyfish can float. So it does give me some anxiety about putting something with that much water in her room or a play area.
