It is very soft feeling and its fun to play with (of course I had to try it myself). The only thing I will say that took a little time for my daughter to get use to was the curlimal did not always react. Sometimes it would stay curled in a ball for a while despite trying to tickle his head to make it unfurl. During the time it stayed curled up I had to remind her not to pull it apart trying to get the curlimal to unfurl, In fear it would break. There were other times when it was not curled up that she would try to tickle its tummy, nose or head and it did not react. They did seem to have fun figuring out how it works. It is soft and a nice calm color. They liked it but it didn&rsquo;t keep them entertained for long, they quickly lost interest. Based on how they received the item and how short a time it kept them interested I wouldn&rsquo;t buy the others in the set. It reacts with cute little sounds or reactions if you tickle its head, nose or tummy. The description promises over 50 sounds and reactions. My daughter told me that the little hedgehog is sneezing a lot, is asking for tickles and tells her it loves her. There is a lot of interaction between her and this toy and she is treading it like a real pet. She absolutely loves it and carries it everywhere. It is very soft and batteries are included which I think is great! I also like that you can turn it off if needed. It rolls up into a ball when sleeping and wakes up again when you turn it on.
