We live in Denver, where it is incredibly dry and we've seen the humidity increase in our room from 23% to 31%. We run it on high while we are asleep and it's perfect. The display goes dark, so there are no bright lights shining, and it has a nice noise machine option. I have to have noise playing while I sleep and this isn't quite as loud as I like but it's definitely enough to help me sleep. It's super easy to fill and fits under our sink easily. Since it is a top fill humidifier I am not dripping all over the floor on the way back to putting it on it's base. I saw this new one and wanted to try it. On the original drop the cord is a hassle and filling can be a little pain. I love the top fill since it is easy and simple to refill quickly and quietly which is great when you loved ones may be asleep in the room. I also love the detachable cord. No risks of tripping or getting it damp. The night lights are red or blue. The noise machine is easy to control, with a handful of typical sounds to pick from. The humidifier mist itself has 3 settings, low , med., high. This is the one feature I wish was like the older original drop model. I preferred the dial adjustor where you can real control the amount of humidity. Love the option of just refilling the humidifier by just removing the top or I can detach it from the electrical cord and put it under my faucet! Our family&rsquo;s favorite features are the sound machine and nightlight. We are currently using this humidifier since our kids got a nasty virus. I use it during their bedtime and it&rsquo;s perfect for my kids because they also love the noice machine and nightlight. We have been playing the white noise but the rain and ocean waves sound just as relaxing. We adjust the amount of humidity, adjust the 360 degree nozzle, and let it run during the night. We mainly use it during the night but I love that it has a run time of 24 hours for those who want that option. It runs quiet and sometimes we forget that it&rsquo;s there. We only had to refill the tank a few times and there is an automatic shut down if the tank is low on water. Cleaning the humidifier was easy too! We haven&rsquo;t use the aroma tray option so I can&rsquo;t comment on that but it&rsquo;s a nice addition if we do. We have used a new one now, and it works just as well. It lasts overnight as long as you dont keep it on the highest setting, looks great in any room, isn't very loud (you can hear the occasional bubbling, but nothing that anyone has complained about), and helps with allergies and nosebleeds, which my children are prone to. Never had any problems with leaking or puddles forming. Clean with water and vinegar, and make sure to use a qtip to clean the small areas on the base. I also like to use a straw brush. My son has bad allergies and congestion so I put this humidifier in his room. Since I know we have hard water I use distilled only and it works like a charm (using distilled water prevents the gray mist and dust). The upgraded features are fantastic. This model has an aroma tray so you can safely add essential oils without clogging the humidifier. It runs really quietly but my kids like the sound machine option along with the lights. I hear a lot less coughing and sneezing from my son when we use the humidifier regularly. I appreciate the 1 gallon tank size as we don't have to constantly refill it. It is easy to clean and use.
