Not the best first impression. My 5-month old daughter can sit up with help. She loves how cozy it is and the prop pillow helps to give her a little extra support. She also uses it for tummy time. The mat offers 5 nature-inspired toys that encourage sensory exploration and keep her entertained. Her favorite is the bear mirror and the natural wood ring. They both excite her. The play mat is machine washable which makes it easy to clean. The downside would be needing to spot clean pillow and tray. It actually works really well as a seat since the u-shaped bear attaches to the mat. Without the Velcro straps, it would slide right off the mat. It would be perfect if the toy bar included the same Velcro straps to attach to the mat. It does have a fold out piece that sits the toy bar up on the ground, but every time my baby (or anyone) touches it, the whole toy bar falls flat or slides around .. out of baby&rsquo;s reach.
