It's a Diono wide-base in hot pink and we love it. However, I also just bought a 3rd row SUV and my now 5 year old begs me to be able to ride in the very back. I had to keep saying no because I didn't want to keep latching and unlatching her Diono booster. I wanted that to stay in the 2nd row captain's chair because I often lay flat the 3rd row for additional storage. This is where the Cosco car seat comes into play! It weighs all of nothing, doesn't latch in to anything and my daughter can pick whichever seat in the far back she wants to sit in. This Cosco seat has no cupholders, but my SUV has 3 cupholders on each side of the 3rd row, so that was a non-issue. When I need to lay the seats flat, I just put the booster on the floor. Easy peasy! So glad we got this - my daughter is stoked and we can keep the latching booster in the 2nd row (since she still likes that one, too, for longer trips as it provided head support if/when she falls asleep). No complaints about the seat comfort and it's easy for her to loop the seatbelt under the small arm rests. With this being my 4th child it would have been nice to have had before now. The seat is light enough for my 7 year old to carry for himself. He states that the seat is comfortable since I couldn't have tested that for myself! Only slight issue found was no drink holder. In one vehicle that was not an issue since cup holders built into the car were available. One vehicle does not have backseat cup holders so drinks had to be handed back and forth with someone in the front. We did work around this by putting a different booster seat with a cup holder in the one vehicle. The Cosco Kids Topside Booster Car Seat is lightweight enough that youre not hauling a heavy item from car to car if needed. It gives more &quot;width&quot; to our child while using the seatbelts, a concern of ours since our youngest is on the slimmer side and I for some reason (mommy anxiety) I always think he might slip out of his seatbelt if we were involved in some sort of accident. There are a few things that I think could use improvement: cushioning and density. The padding on the booster is not that thick - I could knock on the seat and immediately feel and hear the plastic shell underneath. Granted I like that its lightweight, but the base is hallow. Im not sure how thick the shell is, but by the sound of it, I could only guess that its pretty thin.
