The cake-baking part is a bit gimmicky. You mix it all up, cover it with the packet of slime and then “bake ” it so it turns into a small stuffed toy that makes noises and shivers. You can only do the mixing/baking process once and then the cake is pretty much garbage afterward. I would also be concerned about small children thinking the mixture and slime are edible. In the end you have a someone plush toy. Ours was in thee shape of a cake. It makes a few movements and sounds which remind me of a furbee (product is not close to firbee though, much fewer functions). My daughter thought it was cute and interesting, but she lost interest not long after playing with it the first time.</span>

The directions are clear and simple and the process of creating your Freezy Cake was easy enough that my girl could do it with limited input from me. The toy comes with everything you need except for a small mixing bowl and a little water to bind your "cake mix". The cake popped up exactly as advertised after following the directions. One of my favorite features of this toy is that the "freezer" that the toy comes in can be reset easily so it can be reused. Normally I end up throwing away the container that these things come in after the surprise is revealed but this is one that my children have played with over and over, a pleasant change. There will definitely be more of these play sets in our future.</span>

I will say the plush cake dropped before we even finished making the dough cake but was easy for to reset. My kids are enjoying resetting the plush cake and having it drop down again and think it’s absolutely adorable and love how it shivers and noises it makes. In all honesty, it’s not something I would have purchased but after seeing my children’s excitement, I would recommend it as a gift for a little girl. The plush can then be played with as a pet, it talks, it purrs and then after 2 minutes of inactivity it goes to sleep and needs to be played with again to wake up. The fridge can then be used to play with it in the future as well, so I think you get 2 different toys at the end, the price is good considering all this. This is the second product we have received and she is absolute in awe of the products every time we receive them! The instructions are clear and visible and she has hours of fun playing with the products and the surprise inside! It’s even more magical not knowing what she will receive at the end. It’s hard and sturdy product and even better you can adapt it to play with other things not the usual plastic which will end up on the landfill. The noises and music also contribute to making this a magical experience for your children and the teddies at the end are a great hit and even better they come scented which we are now growing a collection at the side of her bed.
