From my point of view there is a lot of packaging and plastic, however that being said, you can reuse the oven and dough to recreate the magic. My daughter, and even my son really enjoyed this. My son was quite sceptical as he thought it was 'girlie', but he was soon wanting to mix the dough with his sister and they were fighting over who got to mould it. They could barely wait for the 90 second countdown and both proceeded to count up to 90 before the alarm went off. When it did they yanked open the door and were amazed that there was now a big soft toy sitting there - even my mother didn't get it haha. My daughter absolutely loved the warmth, the smell, and the fact it seems to make happy noises when she goes went it. By absolute luck she said 'strawberry swirl' was her favourite before we did it and that's what she got which made it even more special. She now sleeps with the soft toy in the oven (as a bed) next to her each night so I can safely say she's a fan! From the start the children were very excited about this toy. It looks just a little oven and they couldn't wait to get started. At first, it's seems there's nothing inside. You mix the ingredients to make a dough and shape using the tools provided. We popped it in the oven and followed the instructions and before we knew it, the oven popped. The kids opened the door and all burst with excitement to see the plush inside. It smells good enough to eat! We love that the plushy is interactive too. The great thing about the oven is the endless fun you can have after the initial use. The kids have spent ages making things magically appear since. From the mixing of the dough, the moulding to the wow moment of the reveal. It really captured my children's imagination and although my nearly 8 year old kind of figured out how the plush appeared my five year old had no idea and thought it was completely magic. Afterwards they have both played with and cared for the plush with much love. A great little toy; the only way to improve it would be to see a refill kit of a new dough and a new toy so that the wow moment can be repeated again and again. The bell is quite quiet so you have to listen carefully for it. When you open the door , voila, there is the cuddly , slightly warm and smelling of freshly baked bread. You turn the oven on with your dough filled mould inside and when the timer is finished a cute plush appears which is warm to touch and smells delicious. It can be reset so the child can do it again and again although if they do it themselves the magic will be lost, also ours the timer didn't tick again after the first time so not sure if we did something wrong or it only works once. I must say, this really does have the wow factor. Once we mixed, moulded and popped our dough in the oven, the children were shocked that when open timer pinged, they found a bunny! Not just any bunny, it talks and smells amazing! And it was warm coming out of the oven!!! They couldn&rsquo;t believe it! Such a great idea. The bunny is now a lovely toy to play with, but the oven has been reused again and again too to surprise friends and family! The cuddly toy is very cute and she loves resetting the oven and using it as a magic trick. It not only smells of cinnamon but it also warms up.
