If you crack the top, it will work for a very short while but the problem returns. I have fiddled with the small valve on the inside of the lid - and then that fixes it, but am unsure what I did to get it to work. This is a huge pain, especially on a trip when I am trying to hydrate in the car whilst driving. Also, after only a few weeks with the bottles, the paint is starting to wear/scratch... not very durable.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve had the 32oz model for about a year, and I’m happy with many of the features. It’s really great at keeping ice water cold for over 24hrs. Even after being in a hot car!
But…I’m now have a suction issue with the straw assembly. The round silicone part that the straw fits into isn’t sitting right anymore, it’s losing suction, and won’t stay in its housing.
Another funny thing that’s been happy before this started, was that I would have to be careful how it open it.
I’d be driving along, and push the button to take a drink, and water would shoot out from the mouthpiece. The bit of water trapped inside the straw when I closed it up the last time I took a drink, there was enough water pressure in th straw, sends it shooting out the next time I take a drink. This has actually shot up to splash my windshield one time.
The only way I can seem to remedy this, is unscrew the cap and release the pressure, so it goes back down the straw. Anyone else experienced this? Or was it just me getting shot in the face or frequently spilled upon. At least it was only water and dried quickly.</span>

I drink water consistently throughout the day and this bottle makes it much easier to fill it and go about my day. It works as it should and is well constructed.</span>

They are incredibly durable and most importantly, they don't leak all over the place. These are the only water bottles I will use.</span>
