When we finally did offer him another brand he flatly refused it, leading to much despair on both our parts! A bunch of research and review reading later, I decided to grab the Comotomo and give it a try, since the general consensus was that it's one of the best for EBF babies. It worked beautifully for us - my husband said my son accepted it easily and finished the bottle completely. Cue relief for the whole family! He didn't seem to get gas or spit up any more than usual either, so that's a plus. I also really appreciate how easy it is to use and clean. 3 parts, all dishwasher safe, and wide enough to hand wash in a pinch. I love that they're so soft my 3 month old is learning how to hold his bottle and he likes to just hold onto the silicone after he's done with the bottle. They have a wide top so it's easy to pour scoops of formula in and the bottle curves right at the 4 ounce line and it's super easy to measure out the water I know to stop the where the curve is. Baby doesn't intake a lot of air with these bottles either. I tried TONS of bottles that were recommended for switching from breast to bottle. My little one wanted nothing to do with any of them, he wouldn't even try to drink from it, just pushed them away and cried nonstop. I decided to try the comotomo because it had good reviews, I wasn't expecting much because he had refused every other bottle but figured I'd give this one a shot. The bottle came in the mail, I cleaned it and put a couple ounces of formula in it thinking it would just go to waste because no bottle had worked thus far. To our AMAZEMENT he immediately started drinking from the bottle and finished the 2 ounces of formula with no problem whatsoever!! My husband and I stood there in disbelief, I was so happy I could have cried. I immediately ordered more bottles. We call it the magic bottle at our house. No issues with gas or latch. He switches from breast to bottle back and forth with no issues whatsoever. Since he had only been breastfed the fast flow nipple was a little too much for him, we used the level 2 medium flow (with 2 holes) up until he was about 7 months and then we switched to the fast flow. Our doctor said she was getting in so much air which was the cause of her gas pains and spitting up. We tried so many bottles after that to get the perfect one, all very popular choices at Babies R Us, and this one is the best! Her gas problems pretty much disappeared after we started using this bottle. It mimics my breast perfectly, the bottle is super easy to clean and very nice to hold on to whip feeding her. Everyone who sees or feels the bottle comments on how different and great it must be -- it is. It has 2 vents on the top that I *actually hear* the air coming out of while feeding her. The only small issue that stinks is the ml/ounce markers on it are hard to read in the dark because they are not black lined (bed time and the room is darker, harder to see where she is at ounce-wise). All the pro's outweigh that small con x's 10.
