Unfortunately, he managed to bend it within minutes of taking it out of the box. I would definitely recommend this for older kids (my son is 5). Well I couldn't answer because I had never use it before I didn't had one as kid so I wasn't sure what to do until we opened it. We instinctively started to play with it. Then I read online that it can go down the stairs we tried that without conviction and it worked even though our stairs are entirely covered with carpet. My oldest son who is 8 years old and autistic ended up using it the most I think it is now officially his. He can spend hours moving it around. However they then promptly stretched it out, and getting it back into shape was too difficult as it had some bends in the metal. I think I would stick to the plastic version for younger kids.
