As with all Calico Critters items, the details are amazing. The shoes are a nice touch and they don't come off too easily, but yet easily enough. The accessories are great too and my daughter even likes using the little tote as a purse for one of her other Calico &quot;mom&quot; critters. Calico Critters are great for our daughter because they will grow with her. They hold up extremely well, and although she needs help with some of the small pieces now, they are great for dexterity. For starters they all feel very soft and the little cat actually has a extra fluffiness to it to make it seem more cat like and they every make little indents on the hands so you can see where the fingers are. These particular figures are a little smaller than the rest of the figures in the brand because they are almost like a preschool age character. I love that this set also comes with little accessories like a hat, a bag, and water bottle as well as each figure has a different color shoe that matches with each accessory. Another plus are their arms and legs do move so you can sit them or adjust them while your kids play.
