Most of its parts are made of heavy duty plastic which I think is good because my child (5 year-old) can actually carry it and play with it wherever without sacrificing durability. It is good size and runs smoothly. The only thing I notice and didn&rsquo;t like is the loader part of it, mainly because it is not very smooth when my child tries to move it and pour the content down. She has to make an extra effort to move it. While described as having a steel construction, the main body of the truck, wheels, cab, and loader are all made of plastic. The only metal is the axels and the mechanisms for using the front loader. The articulation is very smooth and it even features some areas to latch it so it can remain up or partially up without holding it. The wheels move fantastic and it glides effortlessly across the floor on carpet and hardwood.
