However, this review is 100% my true thoughts on this car seat. My only real issue with this seat was trying to figure out how to find the latch parts once I initially opened the box. The latches are stored under the seat in a hidden compartment that wasn't easy to open or figure out. The instructions don't help much on this. We were worried that we might break something because it took some force to open the compartment. After we got the latches out though, install was a breeze. This car seat is very easy to install, extremely well made. The quality is top of the line. It is wider than my other car seats. (don't expect to fit anyone in a middle seat if you have two car seats in the car) I love the bottom buckle, it has padding on it which most car seats don't. That means no more accidentally pinching when putting on the buckle. (This is a great feature!) Overall, this is a great car seat that rivals an other luxury brand! One of the best features is the ease of installation when switching it from one car to the other and accommodating it for each child. It has a great cup holder on each side that&rsquo;s easy for them to reach. The only issue we had at first was finding the latch to release the harness, but aside from that we&rsquo;re happy to have received this booster from the weeSpring Parent Panel. My child is currently four and we just switched her to forward face. We had planned on using her convertible car seat, but she did not like the recline level that it was required to be at for her weight/height. She has never once complained about the britax. The best part is that she can buckle the chest clip herself and the straps are rarely twisted. I also like that the chest clip generally stays in the same spot so that I don&rsquo;t have to readjust it every time I buckle her in the seat. Another feature that we love is that it has two cup holders and two extra spots to put toys or whatever else she wants to put there (currently her sunglasses). Also, the seat was able to be installed almost instantly because of the clicktight system. The seat is incredibly well made. It is BIG and sturdy, and obviously made with both a child's comfort and safety in mind. The fabric is sleek looking, nice to touch and seems like it would be a breeze to clean. As with all of the click tight seats (we have purchased 3 others previously), the install couldn't have been easier. I love knowing that we will get a good safe install without a lot of hassle, even when we have to switch seats between different cars. Not only was install a breeze, but getting it set up to fit our daughter was easy also. the headrest and shoulder straps were easily adjustable (she is still in harness mode), and it looks like it will be a very straight forward change to get it into booster mode. My daughter (just turned 5) can easily get herself buckled and adjust the tightness of the shoulder straps and position of the chest clip. She loves the cup/snack holders and has fallen asleep in the seat several times...the headrest makes it easy for her to get comfy on long rides. Overall we love this seat! The only thing that I see that could be considered a negative about this seat is that it is as I said above very large. We have a large 3 row SUV, so it isn't a problem for us, but I don't believe the seat would be a good fit if you need to get 3 seats/passengers across in a smaller car It's pretty tall, so depending on position in the vehicle may impair view out of the rear window. The first thing I noticed is how wide the top is compared with our current car seat due to the significantly more side impact protection near the head. The seat is pretty upright and is not particularly high off the car seat making it easy for my daughter to get in and out. It was pretty easy to install once I read the manual. I did have some difficulty opening the ClickTight release levers at first and then again trying to close the ClickTight. My husband was able to close it easily (go figure!) and I found that it is much easier to close when I pressed closer to the levers. Once installed, it didn&rsquo;t budge at all. Although I installed the seat using the preferred method of using the seatbelt, I like how the LATCH belts are stored in the seat. However, like so many car seats, the cup holders could be bigger. Other than that, it&rsquo;s a great seat! I&rsquo;m going to be honest, I&rsquo;m pretty loyal to the brand of car seat that we currently have and I probably never would have bought this seat had it not been sent to me to review. When we had our first, I didn't realize she would only be in an infant (bucket) seat for the first year. And, on the flip side, that it was the next carseat that we would want to last through growth spurts and the ever changing safety recommendations. As members of the weeSpring parent panel, we were so excited to receive the Grow with You ClickTight Harness 2 Booster to try and review. We have other Britax carseats, and are extremely impressed with their afety eating and this one appears to take it to the next level. Also, the ClickTight mechanism for installation is a dream. Especially if you have to move carseats into different vehicles more frequently or just want to take them out to keep the vehicle and seats clean! It feels much more secure than just looping the seat belt through the seat, but is so much easier to install than the latch system (which maxes out as a child's weight increases anyway!) The adjustability of the headrest and straps is smooth and easy as well. It's exciting to have one carseat for our second that will grow with him from rear facing 5-point harness to a forward facing booster! The one downside is the width of the seat, especially the upper portion. I don't believe you would be able to put two directly next to each other, even in an SUV. You win again! As a mom that latches her quickly growing toddler into the car at least twice a day and drives my mini at least 2 hours daily, safety is my priority. I was using another carseat/booster combo but switched it out for the Britax Grow with You ClickTight Plus Harness-2-Booster. The first thing I noticed was that this is the Chanel of carseats. The gray fabric was high quality and had great padding. My son literally began ripping the last carseat (~$220) and he cannot do that to this one. My favorite part is that there aren't just two cup holders; there's also a french fry holder for snacks! (That's what my kid calls it) I leave a few toys in there for him and he still has access without making a mess in my car. I am using it in Harness mode at this time. There is padding on the shoulder straps and at the crotch. Press the covered button and pull the straps and it is adjusted to the setting you need. The headrest also adjusts. The base/seat moves up and down so you can angle the seat. It is a hefty car seat which, as well as the padding, adds to the safety component. Set up was simple. It took me less than 5 minutes from box to car. It has 2 cup holders, very comfortable and good-looking fabric. I find many car seats are just so ugly! My daughter really enjoyed sitting on it and said she felt like she was on a throne! It was really easy to adjust the seat for my child&rsquo;s height. The ease of installation was a real plus! My husband figured it out without having to look for the directions online or find the YouTube video. It is a monster of a car seat which I love in terms of feeling like the children are really safe but did make it tough if you are trying to fit multiple car seats in your car and just took up a lot of space which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If you have a bigger car or minivan this won't be a problem at all but for anyone who is limited on space, this could be a concern. Doesn't take away from what a great car seat it is but something to consider when trying to find the right car seat for your car. When my oldest was a baby, I researched car seats considerably and found Britax at the top of the line because of the steel frame. This Britax car seat does not disappoint. Although a bit heavy, it&rsquo;s very easy to install the seatbelt through the seat. Because I need three car seats in one row in my car, I put this car seat in my husband&rsquo;s car. My four and five year old both love this car seat! They are able to get in and out on their own and it fits nicely on the seat leaving lots of legroom. They love the cupholders for their water bottles/ snacks /toys. My children use the harness and are about the same height, so we have not had to adjust the harness and head rest between uses, but it seems easy to do. I also love that the straps do not twist! My four year old has fallen asleep in this car seat and the head rest held her head safely instead of &ldquo;head bobbing.&rdquo; I have not had to clean this car seat yet, but the fabric feels quite durable and appears easy to spot clean. I am thrilled this car seat can be used as a Booster up to 120 lbs. and has an expiration date of 9 years. Overall, we love this car seat! The first thing I noticed when I removed the seat from the box, was the weight. For some reason, when it comes to safety and quality, I tend to think heavier is better. And while the chair isn&rsquo;t heavy in a cumbersome way, the 26.5 pound weight gave me confidence that there were some heavy duty parts protecting my child underneath this seat&rsquo;s great looking exterior. With two children, we&rsquo;ve gone through a few different car seats. Given how difficult some of them have been to install, I was initially dreading the process. After reading through the instructions and setting the seat up for her 4 year old size on the floor of our living room, I felt that this install would be one of the easier ones, and I was right. The seat was very easy to set up and install as the instructions are pretty intuitive. The only issue I experienced was when I was setting up the seat for my daughter&rsquo;s height. I needed to move the buckle retainer and to do so, I had to remove the seat cover. The removal was easy, but when I put the cover back in place, something didn&rsquo;t feel right. There are two small slots (about the same size as the clips on the back of the seat cover) into which I inserted the clips. This is not where they go, but the size of the holes misled me. Once you put the clips in these slots, they are near impossible to remove. It was incredibly frustrating, but some tiny fingers helped me remove the clips so I could reinstall the pad correctly. I think we parents are often hesitant to move our children to a booster seat or the next level for a couple of reasons. First, the fear of letting that baby phase go drives us to the realization they&rsquo;re growing up way too fast. Secondly, we don&rsquo;t want to move them to that next level prematurely and sacrifice safety. Before installing this seat, I was very cautious in regard to moving our daughter to a booster. But now I love how secure she feels when buckled. This car seat fits the bill 1000%. We used the seat for my middle son, who is not yet old or big enough for a booster, but he LOVED it when I told him that his seat becomes a booster (a big boy seat, like his brother!). The fact that I can use this seat as a booster when driving my oldest's friends around is also a huge plus for me. As far as safety, there is nothing better than Britax. I was super impressed with the safety of this seat, especially the triple-layer side impact protection. The car seat is large and somewhat heavy, but unless you're trying to fit 3 car seats across in a compact car or sedan, or you take the seat out of your vehicle frequently, the size and weight aren't really issues. The size and weight of the seat actually were positives for me, because it makes me feel more secure in my son's safety. The knit material is soft, and my son sweated noticeably less, which is a huge benefit in South Louisiana in July and August. It was easy to remove and wash the cover when my son spilled Gatorade all over it (I'd always been nervous about taking the covers off other car seats because they seemed so difficult to get back on, not so with this one!). My son's favorite feature, however, were the cup holders. Or, as he calls them, his &quot;Lego Holders&quot; :) He loved the convenience of having all his toys and trinkets easily accessible, and I was happy to not constantly have to reach back and either hand him things or pick things up off the floor that he'd dropped. Overall, this is one of my favorite car seats (and believe me, we've owned a lot of them!) My son just turned 3 years old and he is about 36 inches tall. He fits very comfortably in the seat in harness mode. The harness is on position 5 out of 10, so he will have plenty of room for growth until he is ready to use it as a booster in a couple of years. The seat fits well in our vehicles which include a crossover and a two door sedan. It is pretty wide at the shoulders and wouldn't work in our vehicles if we needed to fit 3 across. I have found that the buckles are much easier then the other name brand convertible car seats that we have purchased for our older child. The straps don't twist (major win), and it is easy to loosen the straps for getting children in and out. I do find that it is occasionally difficult to pull the straps tight. My child seems comfortable in the car seat; however, we have noticed that he tends to hold his head forward because it is difficult for him to see around the large head support. He hasn't complained, just in observation we've seen him peek forward; however, the safety features of the car seat make his inconvenience worth it. The seat is incredibly heavy so I don't find that it is easy to get in and out of the car. It does feel significantly secure which I love. It also has a very large footprint because of if the head support/airbags, so with two convertible car seats in the back we will not be able to fit a third child seat. For this reason I subtracted a star; however, I think as we use it as a booster we won't find this to be an issue. I did receive this seat for free through the weeSpring Parent Panel, but this review is an honest reflection of how I feel about this seat. First, the seat was very easy to install. The clicktight system is easy to use and provides a secure installation the first time. The only feature I struggled with was finding the button to release the straps. The picture in the manual wasn't very clear, but I was able to locate the button and release the straps in just a minute or two of reviewing the seat and manual. After locating the button, the adjustments to find the best fit for my child were easy. Second, the safety features of the seat are superb. The padding around the head and the secure fit make me feel like my child is as safe as possible. In addition, I love the slim profile of the seat. It makes fitting other seats in the row very easy. Lastly, the fabric is soft and easy to clean. My son has already spilled yogurt and goldfish crumbs on the seat and I was able to wipe it clean without issue. It was carefully packaged and I was pretty excited to receive this to try out! We have 2 little kids (soon to be 3 in car seats because we&rsquo;re expecting in Nov 2019) so safety and ability to fit all car seats in the car is crucial. The car seat was fairly easily to install, was a big heavy but I expect a good car seat to have some weight on it in all honesty. I loved how comfortable and plush the seating and back were and the cup holders. Very easy to adjust to our daughters height, etc. It did sit a little higher than our other car seats so it was a little difficult for our 3 year old to climb in to it herself. Our first real usage of this was when took this for a few hour drive to the beach and our daughter slept so well especially given the head area held her head safely in place and did not fall down like our other car seat. With that being said, as much as I loved that safety feature (and would be great if we only needed 2 car seats) I also found the dome area of the head a little too large. We would not be able to fit 3 car seats next to one another because the head portion is much too large. Very easy to clean, the covers come right off and are machine washable. I felt relieved when I saw the Grow With You Click Tight plus harness booster-2. I was relieved because there is still a lot of protection on the sides and a lot of padding. There is extra padding on the straps and on the crotch which makes it very comfortable. I like the color and fabric, it&rsquo;s very gender neutral and can be used again when my son is old enough. The reason I lowered it to a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because I found the instillation a little confusing. I&rsquo;m used to using the LATCH system and I could not locate the belt to use that system on this booster. I didn&rsquo;t feel it was as secure with the seatbelt, although that is the method Britax recommends for this seat. I had trouble making it &ldquo;click&rdquo; and will be doing more troubleshooting. More than 5 years later, we kept putting off upgrading her car seat because we weren't ready to move her out of a five-point harness. (Our petite gal weighs in at 39 lbs -- soaking wet!) Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel, we received Britax's Grow with You ClickTight Plus Harness-2-Booster to test out and review. This seat is everything we needed and has exceeded our expectations! The seat itself has more room that a convertible seat, especially on the sides, which is great for older kids who need the occasional bend and flex. The straps on the five-point harness fit my daughter comfortably and it was easy to adjust the height. The seat also has side impact protection surrounding her head, neck and torso, among other safety features that I always trust Britax to deliver. The seat was really straightforward to install, which is probably my favorite feature. When you're using the five-point harness, you thread your car's seatbelt through the seat. (If you're using the booster, you use the latch hooks to anchor the seat.) After that, you clip the rear anchor, tighten it and you're ready to go. So easy and so secure! One not-quite con: This seat's footprint is comparable to our previous convertible seat, so the space-savings is minimal. I think this is more about managing parent and grandparent expectations: Booster seats are still going to take up a good amount of space in your backseat. My daughter's favorite part of the seat is that is has two cupholders. She's living her best life on every car trip! I was not disappointed. It's very similar to the Pioneer in a lot of ways so it's definitely not meant to replace that seat (or similar seats) if you already have it. It's just another option for those shopping for a harnessed booster. I love the ClickTight installation, it makes it SO easy to install. However, it does weigh about a million lbs so it's still not one you want to take in and out on a regular basis. Unless you can add it into your weightlifting routine. ;) The cover is washable, which is a HUGE plus. I don't know why it's taken so long to come out with a washable cover, but I'm so glad they have! It's a MUST with newly potty trained kiddos. And of course, like all other Britax seats I love the other safety and convenience features that make it easy to use properly every time. Like the quick adjust harness, steel frame, side impact protection, and non-twisty straps (technical term). The price can be a little jarring, but if you compare it to other harnessed booster seats on the market and take into consideration all the features that make it easy to install and use properly, it's well worth it! It's heavy duty (also just plain heavy), comfy (I've lost count of naps taken in the past month we've had it), and a snap to install, thanks to the Click Tight technology. I first took our 4+year old Britax Advocate CT out of the car, and the new seat was installed within 45 seconds. It took longer to adjust the tether strap to the back of the seat than to get the seat itself installed. My 4.5 year old son loves having his own cupholders, as the Advocate didn't have them, and he loves having his toys and drinks within close reach. He can climb in a lot easier and get himself bucked (using the harness system). I have not taken the seat apart to clean it yet but our old seat has always been easy and intuitive. I'm looking forward to using the high-end LATCH buckles when he eventually switches to seat belt mode. He still has about 5 inches until he maxes out the height for harness use. It's def not a small or compact seat, but seems to take up a little less room in the back of my small SUV than the Advocate. I'm not sure I'd happily travel with it due to weight but at the same time it's foolproof to install, which has its own merits. I have it set at the more upright recline position to achieve a better install with the headrest. Quality of the seat and materials appears to be top notch. It's summer in Florida and even though the seat is black, he hasn't complained about it being too hot. He doesn't get as much head slump as I'd expected with as upright as the seat is when he naps which makes me happy, too. I was planning to buy another convertible car seat for our third but was given this booster to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel at the perfect time. I wasn&rsquo;t even considering a booster for my 2.5 year old but it has turned out to be so much better than her convertible. From the moment the box arrived, my toddler has been in love her with her new seat. Installation was straightforward and surprisingly fast compared to my past car seats. The ClickTight feature is really cool. I had never heard of that before! On my other car seats, no matter how hard we pull, it still wiggles back and forth a bit. With the ClickTight, it really tightens it down so there is hardly any wiggle at all. This makes me feel really great about the safety of this seat. Adjusting the seat to my daughters size was fast, as well as changing the recline of the seat. We have a car with narrow seats and so we have it fully upright right now. This seat does have much less padding than her convertible seat (we had bought one of the most heavily cushioned convertibles on the market) but this seems to be normal with booster seats. We live in Texas, so less padding along with the knit fabric, I&rsquo;ve noticed significantly less sweating during these 100 degree temps. The black material does have more of a brown hue in the sunlight rather than a pure black, so it doesn&rsquo;t perfectly fit into my all black car or other car seats. I also wish there wasn&rsquo;t the bright red lower parts. I did choose my last car seats partially based on looks, but I got over the aesthetics quickly when my toddler loved this seat so much. Her favorite parts of the seat are that it roomier and sits her lower than her convertible. She can now reach her toys on her own and tells me she feels like a big girl in it. My favorite parts of the seat are how easy it is to pull tight and the Flip Forward buckle. No more digging below my child to find the bottom harness clip. It&rsquo;s always right there and makes getting her in and out of the seat that much faster. We both love that it has two cup/snack trays for all her things to stay really close to her. The outer grey plastic liner around the head cushions is a rubbery feeling material. My past car seats haven&rsquo;t had this and it was odd at first because you can push on it and it compresses. However, when you push it you can feel the steal frame of the car seat and ultimately, safety matters most so I got over that fast. I also appreciate that I can latch it in and tether it down at the same time for extra safety. The price is comparable to what I was planning to pay for another convertible and this has turned out to be so much better of an option for our growing family! This is our fourth Britax cat seat (we also have a single and a double stroller!!) and it did not disappoint!! I absolutely love Britax&rsquo;s ClickTight instillation. I promise you, there is not an easier seat to install or adjust out there! We all know properly installing a car seat is so so important to our child&rsquo;s safety but it&rsquo;s such a nerve wracking process! Britax takes the guess work out of that with ClickTight! You know you&rsquo;re getting a secure installation the first time and it only takes a few minutes!! I also love that the fabric is machine washable with this seat!! I&rsquo;ve washed my fair share of car seat covers in the sink and boy, the stuff that comes out of them! Washing this one in the washing machine is such a life saver!! My four year old also says the seat is super comfy and I know Britax has taken steps to make sure it&rsquo;s extra safe (it has 3 layers of side impact protection!!) He&rsquo;s so proud so click the chest clip himself when we put him in and the double cup holders leave plenty of room for drinks, snacks and toys!
