While my oldest has enjoyed building fine motor skills with linking these (win!), I have to stay very vigilant that he is not doing too many in a row as to become a hazard for the youngest. My daughter is learning to use both of her hands and these links are an obsession right now. They are lightweight and easy to travel with. You can give her a few or a whole line of links. They are easy to clean and sanitize. They are different from the classic rings because there are different textures for baby to play with and chew on (come on, you know your baby IS going to chew on these!). Something about unhooking them and linking them back together is just fun especially since they are all different colors. I highly recommend to others.
