They serve two purposes, to entertain and to help just a bit with teething. My son seems to enjoy chewing these even though they are not the ideal chew toy. I have noticed that these do comfort him. I like to hang toys on his car seat and stroller with the links. Keeps him busy in the car and in the store. The links are colorful, lightweight, and easy for little hands to grab. They clip together smoothly and can be used in so many different ways, whether it is attaching toys to a stroller, car seat, or play gym, or just letting a baby explore them on their own. They are sturdy and safe, but still soft enough for teething, which gives them extra use. It is such a simple idea but it keeps little ones entertained and helps with coordination. My daughter is learning to use both of her hands and these links are an obsession right now. They are lightweight and easy to travel with. You can give her a few or a whole line of links. They are easy to clean and sanitize.
