What an appropriate time to get a swim/beach barbie. My daughter has had Barbie laying out at the pool while she swims. She loves that she had sunscreen to keep Barbie from getting a sunburn and also a big sun protecting hat! What child wouldn&rsquo;t like the cell phone. The first thing my daughter noticed and was excited about was Barbie came with a bag all the accessories could go in! The lipstick is so tiny we have spent lots of time looking for it. The shoes seem to fall off easier than other Barbie shoes; we&rsquo;ve had to look for those a good bit too. I love the whole beachy vibe, so for me these are my favorite kinds of dolls. She has a super cute pink and white swimsuit with a polka dot sarong and bold jewelry, and the cutest accessories for her beach bag, sunscreen, her cell phone, lipstick, and an ice cream cone that fits on her hand. There&rsquo;s also a gold bracelet to match her earrings and necklace, and a pink hat and the coolest retro sunglasses. All very exciting! Barbie comes with a lipstick, sun lotion, ice cream cone that clip to Barbie&rsquo;s finger to hold the item in her hand, and it works! Good job. Barbie also comes with a phone and the clip on the back of it is larger which allows for her hand to slip realistically holding it and it works great. Really that was really well done! She&rsquo;s got earrings and a matching bracelet and necklace all work. But what doesn&rsquo;t work and was disappearing for the girls were her pink shoes. They looked like the right size, but would not stay on at all, not for even a minute! What was very disappointing for myself was this Barbie&rsquo;s sunglasses. They are painted to be white and the paint very easily comes off! My finger nail accidentally touched the front part and it scrapped a piece off, I couldn&rsquo;t believe it and tried on purpose and sure enough came right off again. That doesn&rsquo;t seem right! Regarding the packaging. The accessories were parked very securely, but maybe just a bit to secure. I had to cut out each one and it wasn&rsquo;t that easy, I had to cut so close to the items that I was worried I&rsquo;d accidentally cut an accessory. I understand why manufacturers do things like that and I think they should but this was really hard. In the end, taking everything into consideration regarding just the Barbie w/accessories I awarded only 3 stars because of the paint on those Barbie sunglasses.
