But once he did he was able to start a battle. Love the mix and match part. I wish the stadium had some mix and match feature to make play last a little long and little more interesting. And storage for the pieces would be great. But if you like Beyblades this kit had it all. Since my son has used these before, he had a good idea on how to assemble them. I, on the other hand, was confused and found the illustrated instructions frustrating. I still don't understand the meaning of some of the graphics. I personally found it easier to assemble everything by using the pictures on the back of the box. A cool feature is that the parts are not identical and it seems they can be interchanged between the Beyblades for different experiences adding more hours of excitement. We've never used a battle arena for combat before, so we thought the sloping Beystadium made battling much more fun. The Beyblades really get a chance to continuously bounce off each other at high speeds. It is quite exciting to watch. My 8 year old son thinks this set might be best for someone with Beyblade experience since it takes a little time to get the hang of it. But all in all, it is well made and a lot of fun. It comes with everything you need to have an epic battle: the arena, two beyblades and two launchers. The really cool thing about these beyblades is the tips come off and are interchangeable between the two beyblades giving them their own &ldquo;strengths&rdquo; depending on the tips used. The arena is great too, the incline of the arena makes the battle even better. If you have a beyblade lover in your life this would be perfect for them! The stadium seems sturdy which is good because these will crash around and it gets pretty intense at times. I also like that it comes with two release triggers for the Beyblade&lsquo;s that way we don&rsquo;t have to worry about arguing when it comes to releasing the Beyblade in the rain I think those are called launchers to be technical. Also I think what I like most about this is it comes with different ways to play within the stadium which is something that I don&rsquo;t believe I&rsquo;ve ever come across before and there are several ways you can connect these Beyblade from what I&rsquo;m being told by my nine-year-old as well he likes that they have the different levels in the stadium which makes it a little more fun for him and also they&rsquo;re fairly easy to put together now again I don&rsquo;t know much as an adult about these Beyblade&lsquo;s I try to learn but I personally just don&rsquo;t understand but the main year-old absolutely loves it I think his favorite is the magma and he has just been hours rebuilding these Beyblade and releasing them in the stadium and just having a great time he&rsquo;s very excited about these quad levels I think I like also that they are compatible with other systems so you don&rsquo;t have to just be relegated to the the quad drive which is helpful because he does like to create his own atmosphere if you will. Setting up the stadium was fairly easy, although I was a bit surprised at how thin the top plastic piece is. The directions weren't super clear on how to attach all the pieces of the blades together, but I figured it out after a couple minutes. Kids love the different outcomes of winning a battle!
