The instructions were easy for my boy to follow and he done it all by himself. He was over the moon to find out he's got the exact shark beast he wanted . This toy is a lot bigger than I expected and it was truly so much fun for both of use . My boy loved all the steps you need to go through to create your beast and the smoke and sound effects are fantastic. The shark beast itself is bigger than I expected too and very well made . It's got sounds and lights too and my boy has been playing with it since we received it . You can buy refill for the beast lab and do the reveal of the best again which I think is fantastic idea . We had a fun filled hour doing the first reveal mixing the potions and following the instructions. I have a refill pack and he can&rsquo;t wait to do it all again. Only negative for me is that you can&rsquo;t buy another beast to reveal so they can battle. You would have to buy the whole item again. I was dubious about this, I won't lie! It looked a lot of hype for a kid's toy, but oh my goodness! We were all taken in by this toy, the kids and the adults. What a great idea. The kids loved being scientists, dropping things in the potion, turning the dial and hearing the noises from within. They were quite worried it was going to explode! The smoke that emits from the toy is such a great addition and really creates the atmosphere. It makes the experiment seem so real!! We also loved that you can do the experiment again and again. It's not just a one time toy like other similar toys on the market. This has been played with daily since the first experiment! We love the refill packs too, however feel maybe a refill beast, or a refill pack of parts to interchange with your beast would be good. Don't get me wrong, the kids loved it, but as an adult, for the price, I'd rather something more to add to it. Other than opening some of the little packets where the plastic wasn't very easy to get off, we would have liked to have seen it more of a paper bag (like LOL surprise have done) for these little pieces. She managed to do it all herself with a little help when removing the cable ties. It's straight forward and easy to follow. The magic of the reveal was the best part for her. We were all shocked that the Shark lit up and made noises, that was a great touch and a toy she will play with time and time again! This product is great for kids who love experimental type toys and mystery toys too! The whole process is fantastic and I love that it&rsquo;s really engaging and also an activity that can be enjoyed as a family. It would be great to get surprise bag figures so when you recreate the process with the refills you get another surprise or a different figure that you could add to the collection. Noises , smoke and lights made it interesting and kept their attention until the Best was revealed,, Easy to assemble clear instructions in the manual all potions labelled in n order. Requires 6 AA batteries. And able to re order potions to perform the process again. A little pricey for potentially one use unsure if I would buy refill packs to reveal the same beast for just a new weapon. Good quality sturdy toy to play with. Unsure if you could buy just another beast without Beast Lab haven&rsquo;t been able to find on internet easily. So would be costly if siblings would want one each.
