Vibrant and detailed clothing with an added lab coat, safety glasses, and microscope. A clip board or laptop would have completed this set nicely. The little ones love this doll as this is the only on that has the safety goggle feature. Her blue hair is bright! Brighter than most of the other dolls in the house, but that's what make this one stand out as well. I think one of my criticisms of when incorporating STEM into the dolls is usually the design of dolls clothes usually tries too hard to formulate into the stereotype of the uniform that it lacks originally and/or flare. I really appreciate that while the girl has a standard lab coat, the outfit she is wearing is cute and fun. I think this slight style change actually has a real impactful message of stating that it is okay to incorporate style and fashion into industries that are not know for being as such. I think a lot of people in general steer away from certain interests because they feel like certain industries are not welcoming to their sensibility, so I think this really helps. I think art can overlap in all industries, so this can really help to bring more diversification into these industries. I also like that the girl has a non-standard hair color, which adds overall to the fashion element. The main reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like the doll should have come with a few additional accessories. I would also like to see some IT representation, or even gaming in the future.
