The tent requires some assembly, but the step by step picture directions are very easy to follow and the parts go together quickly. They also come apart easily if you need to store it in a smaller place between adventures. The tent velcros shut to keep mosquitos out &ndash; a very important feature for my daughters, and the awning and string lights are fun details. Malibu and Brooklyn Barbies have so many fun activities to choose from. They can gaze at the stars through their telescope, play a game of cards (that very closely resemble our family&rsquo;s favorite game), roast marshmallows over their camp fire, go for a walk with a flashlight or lantern, enjoy some snacks and drinks, or play with their new animal friends. When you push on the rabbit&rsquo;s tail its ear move adorably and when you move the squirrel&rsquo;s tail it moves an acorn up to its mouth. The Barbies each have their own camp chairs with holders for their water bottles and fun pillows, but because the dolls knees don&rsquo;t bend it is easier for them to sit on the blanket. I've never had use instructions for a Barbie set before, but I'm glad they included directions for the tent. It was simple to put together once I looked at the guide, and it's fun because it goes together like a real tent does. If your kid has helped put up a tent, it will be recognizable (and more fun because it's realistic). The accessories are thoughtful and appropriate for a camping set: Uno cards, camp chairs, a blanket, water bottles, trail mix, a campfire, and roasting marshmallows! The dolls are beautifully detailed, and I love the tiny braids on Brooklyn. The squirrel and rabbit are adorable additions, and they have the bonus of movement - when you pull their tails, the rabbit's ears wiggle and the squirrel lifts the acorn to its mouth. The tent can easily fit 4 dolls inside, and it's well-made. It's a sturdy material that feels like it will hold up against an energetic child. When they saw the set they were eager to open it and start playing. It was a little tricky to get out of the box but it did not disappoint once we got it. This set came with two Barbie&rsquo;s and a wonderful tent. The tent that came with the set has a lot of neat little details that would come with camp these days, such as lights that hang over the canopy. They have all been playing with it with barbies and with other fun toys like dinosaurs and little plastic animals. It is a great tool to use if you are trying to prepare your kiddos for camping in a tent, which is exactly why I wanted it. It has definitely helped to make clear expectations (minus the fancy pillows). We chose to paint a small moon and star scene on the larger part of the telescope, but they were enjoying it before we chose to modify it. They each have their own marshmallows on a stick to play roast over the campfire. The tent is big for a barbie tent. It can easily fit 4 barbies inside of it sitting down. The flap velcros closed for when you want to close it. It also has a flap you can hang on to the connecting poles to make a overhang for them to sit under. It was a little confusing to put together at first but once you get the hang of which way the poles connect it's super easy. They had fun setting up the accessories that came with it and placing the dolls sitting around the campfire. The only downside was that our tent did not have the sleeves to slip the frame through to secure it, but it was ok because we just pulled the fabric over the frame and it was fine. Both dolls are so pretty and their summer outfits are so cute.
