Hard not to notice as a mon whose played hockey most of her life. My daughter will still like the doll, but lets make Barbie look like a real hockey player on the box too. She loved that Barbie had a helmet with cage mask like she wears and a hockey stick and hockey skates with puck. The trophy was a nice added accessory. Disliked that the pants and socks were one piece, thought that was weird. It was nice to have that connection and she now has an interest in hockey. She was very excited to get this doll and immediately made an extra hockey stick out of recycling so that my husband could play Barbie hockey with her! They had a LOT of fun! The doll and accesories are well done, but I did have two cons. First, the puck is smaller than a dime and black. Once you hit it, its almost impossible to find. We had to put colorful tape on it to keep track. I know black is the color is should be, but I think a bright orange would have been better! Second con is that the hockey stick is very hard to get the doll to hold. The hockey Barbie is very nicely made and very pretty. I will say that I have felt that a few of the dolls I have bought my daughter this year were not as detailed or well made as I would have liked, though she was very happy with them just the same. This doll is nice quality, uniform is nicely made and accessories are very fun. My daughter took her outside with the snowboard Barbie and played winter games in the snow with them. She loves to watch hockey with her daddy and was so proud to show him she has a hockey player Barbie now. Honestly, my husband was pretty excited too, since he didn&rsquo;t think a Barbie like this existed. He even played Barbie with her a few times (and my daughter insisted he be Hockey Barbie). It&rsquo;s so cute to watch them play! I do wish the package came with a spare puck or two though. The helmet and trophy, or cup, that came with it were great additions as well.
