Its made from a heavier fabric than other Barbie clothes I've encountered and the pattern goes all the way around the dress. It has velcro on the back and the collar is made from a knit material. I think it would've been great to pair the dress with a solid colored shirt or to add sleeves to the dress. We tried the dress on regular, tall curvy and petite made to move Barbies. The dress and even the shoes fit all the body types, which was surprising. Pretty, bold colors, little white boots, and matching yellow glasses with a white trim. The only minus is the dress was a bit tight to fasten in the back, but the velcro has a strong hold. The little boots are easy for kids to get on and off because they have a slit down the back to make it easy to slide in Barbie's foot.
