We have always tried to teach our kids that everyone is unique and what better way to show that than with Barbie. She comes with a pretty purple wheelchair and a ramp to help her get around. She has a super cute rainbow outfit as well. The Barbie its self is very bendable in the joints of the body to put the feet on the foot paddles and arms on the wheels, just as a person would with a wheelchair. The ramp we put in our dollhouse so she can ride down. Very good quality doll and accessories! I wish more Barbie&rsquo;s with made to move their body in so many different ways instead of stiff. We got the opportunity to test this Barbie doll/ wheelchair set with the Play, Rate and Review Program (Mattel) ! We had chose this exact one as their cousin just got a sweet new wheel chair he will be in most of his life. She is made like a typical Barbie but better with all major joints that move to better position her in the chair. There is a waist grip that holds her in place and the chair is super realistic with footplates, rotating wheels and brake locks. Im a physical therapist so i have worked with wheelchairs and i am very impressed with there creation. She has a form of muscular dystrophy and is a part-time wheelchair user, so this Barbie was something she kept asking for. When she saw it in the box she cried because she was so excited. I love the details on the doll so she can sit correctly. Her hands actually grip the wheels so she could push herself. And the wheelchair even has brakes, which is such an amazing detail. Needless to say...this Barbie has been played with since my daughter opened her. She even took her to school to show her friends. Great product! The wheelchair has so many interactive features from the brakes to the moveable footrest. The plastic clip to hold the Barbie in place is perfect to help keep her steady during play. I have not opened it yet, because I want to give it as a Christmas present. I really like how Barbie is doing this variety of inclusive dolls. In my daughter's school, there are kids with special needs, and these Barbie's help kids understand better, and respect, all people as equals. She&rsquo;s super positionable- ankle, knee, wrist, elbow and shoulder joints! She can sit realistically and appear to really be maneuvering her wheelchair. My daughter has a classmate this year that uses a wheelchair and crutches, and has been naturally curious wheelchairs. This was an obvious buy to help her explore that curiosity. The Barbie is also cute and has the nice shiny smooth hair that hardly ever tangles. My girls love the way you can bend her in so many different directions. They love wheeling her around in her chair. Although I do believe they play with her more out of the chair then in the chair. She comes with a great little romper that pulls on or off. Her watch is cute but very tiny. It will be lost soon. My older girl (11) wants more cute bobed haired Barbies.
