This Barbie is taller and slightly heavier than the traditional Barbie. This Barbie is more durable and be carried around without the fear of being damaged. A child can hold it while combing her hair or dressing her. This allows the Barbie to holds the child&rsquo;s interest for periods of time. I highly recommend this Barbie along with the accessories that accompany it. I now understand why she is great for toddlers. Both, she and her accessories are large and pose less of a risk of choking hazards. Also, her size is great for helping develop hand-eye coordination while getting her dressed. Shes bigger than the normal sized Barbie doll which is great for little Toddler hands. The barbie doll skin have a real Skin like feel to it and the joints are bendable and flexible. The outfit is easy to put on because it have the velcro all up and down the back of the dress instead of a small piece of it. We've been giving her Chelsea dolls, but this is much easier for her. The body is a softer material than the typical Barbie dolls and it's larger, making it easier for her to use. I love the &quot;night do day&quot; theme of these outfit, and that it comes with a full set for each. There is a night headband and day headband, a gift to hold by day, and a doll to hold at night, night slippers and day shoes... you get my drift. My one issue with this particular doll is that it has textured hair and it comes with a brush. Those of us with curly hair know that you can't simply brush it or it'll be a poof. Since we're not wetting and conditioning her hair every time my little girl wants to brush it, it simply poofs when brushed. I did hide the brush for this reason. I wanted to start off saying that deboxing her was a breeze. The doll was held in place by the usual plastic ties, but her second outfit and all the accessories were just in a plastic shell that I just needed to peel back and could take them out. I think I got the entire thing deboxed in about 5 minutes at most. I will say taking off her original headband was a pain. It has two plastic tabs on each side and I did clip some hair removing it. I was a little unsure about the soft touch body, but it works really well. It&rsquo;s super easy to change the doll&rsquo;s clothes and put her shoes and accessories on. The shoes also stay on, which as parent I really love. It&rsquo;s a lot harder to have a shoe fall off and magically disappear. I love how the hands and feet don&rsquo;t have plastic supports in them, so they bend instead of poking during play. I will mention that the doll I got the ends of the hair are somewhat tangled out of the box. She still needs some hair help before the brush will go through the hair. The doll&rsquo;s hips are slightly loose. She holds most poses, but it&rsquo;s easy to move them unintentionally. Honestly, those issues could be exclusive to my doll. I&rsquo;m really impressed with her. A lot of thought went into this doll and her accessories. I think this larger set is really great. There&rsquo;s two outfit options right out of the box and several accessories to play with. This is a very good staring set for a child. She&rsquo;s perfect for a small child getting into Barbie or for an older child who wants to play with a larger doll. I really think they knocked it out of the park with her. Very pleased. The size difference isn't too great and I think this doll is ideal for kids ages 5-7 when they may no longer want baby dolls but are too young for fashion dolls.
