The Barbie is packaged beautifully in a big box and you can see all of her outfits and accessories through the front of the box. It was not hard to get her out and my daughter was quickly invested in playing. She loved the idea that she was a fairy and then could be a mermaid! She could easily change her outfits and even put on the shoes. The small wings on the shoes make it easy for little hands to manage. My daughter also loved her hard color and how soft her hair was. She has brushed her hair, changed her clothes and played with her constantly. She took her in the car, slept with her, flew her around, and pretended she was in the sea. This is a high quality doll with beautiful colors. The Barbie also sets the stage for so much imaginative play as she can easily change from mermaid to fairy. She comes with fairy wings (and fabulous shoes!), or you can turn her into a mermaid with the included bottom. She also has a pretty skirt and some bling to accessorize. Overall my 5 year old loves her and has been having fun changing out her outfits. She comes with plenty of dress up accessories, including both a skirt and mermaid tail. My 5 year old was so happy she can be a fairy princess, a mermaid or a fairy mermaid. The versatility of &quot;looks&quot; makes her easy to inspire different stories for playtime...even as a mermaid in the bathtub (good thing she's waterproof!). And as expected, she is well made and has so many surprise details. The shoes and jewelry are vert detailed with flowers, butterflies, fairy wings and seashells. And even her base bodice and ankles have dimensional flowered lace texture built in. The art on the back of the box is impeccable. I enjoy how on the back of the box you are able to see different options of play with the doll. I will say I do wish the background of the box that is visible on store shelves was a different color, so the mermaid tail does not get lost in the color and image of it. I enjoy how many different options are provided for maximum playability when it comes to creating your own Barbie look. I would also like to add that I really like that when the doll came out of the box the hair was really soft.
