It is an ok toy and it's fairly messy. Also, there are no instructions except a few pictures on the back of the box. When brushing her hair, some of the strands come out. There are 8 small, pink, accessories you use to decorate the headband and hair clips. You need to dip them in water to rinse the pink off to reveal the color or they are sticky and get pink everywhere. Then you can use cold water to reveal a design on them - this was actually really neat! There is a hair clip extension we tried dipping in hot and cold water but did not notice any change. The head isn't weighted so when brushing her hair, it will move and sometimes tip over. The lips change color with hot and cold water which was fun but it does not last very long. The hair is fairly easy to brush and my daughter has yet to get any of the hair ties stuck or knot the hair. The only disappointing factor of this particular style head has been that we were not able to get the lips, hair extension or the little accessories to change color as expected. Though that did not take away from the fun factor for her. The design idea are endless between doing different hairstyles and customizing the headband and barrettes with the included plug ins. The quality seems great so far, there is a lot of hair, but not hard to brush through at all! I would highly recommend this toy for imaginative play, creativity and the quality.
