My daughter was excited to play with this with her other Chelsea type dolls. Regular sized Barbie wouldn't work out too well since this is a small set but we have a few other Chelsea sets so those dolls were perfect to add some customers to the store. The only problem my daughter found with this set is that when the doll is standing at the register she kept falling over. For a 5 year old, this was frustrating so maybe adding a place to hold her feet would be a good idea. This way you can move the other customers around and have Chelsea waiting at the register. Even so, my daughter had a blast playing with this set. She loved setting up the store the best.
