They really liked the bakery theme and liked that it came with dough to make cakes and decorate them. They also liked that the doll was a different doll, and had pink hair. They thought that the oven was cute and that it looked like the cake was rising. They did not like that the set did not come with white and or brown dough. They wanted to frost the cakes with &quot;vanilla&quot; frosting or make a &quot;chocolate&quot; cake. They also kept losing the small decorations for the cakes, which bothered me because I had to spend time trying to find them. They wound up losing one for good. The other accessories are good and have places you can place them, but the tiny decorations do not. The dough to make cakes was a hit! Girls loved making and decorating cakes in the oven and cupcakes in the baking tray. The cake embellishments added to playtime. The doll however was a bit disappointing. The hair was stiff and jaggedly cut; it looked like a kid had cut it. Her dress is a thin pajama shirt with a printed on apron. They grabbed an extra Barbie and got right to &ldquo;baking.&rdquo; The pieces are a bit small, so if your kids are still in the &ldquo;things in the mouth&rdquo; phase definitely wait for 4/5 years old. My girls are 3.5 and had a great time playing safely with all the pieces. Even when my girls forgot to put the dough away and it dried out, it was no big deal since we already had tons of play-dog at home to use with this set. It really allows my girls&rsquo; creativity to shine. They even made a two tier cake and had other neat ideas. The toy was easy to unpackage. The only issue we&rsquo;ve had with the set is the tan shelf always falls off. Not a big deal but wish they would&rsquo;ve made shelfs glued on. Oh! And the Barbie stands on her own! I am very impressed with the Barbie &quot;You Can Be Anything&quot; collection. Our 5 year old girl and 6 year old boy both played cooperatively with this set for 30+ minutes which is a huge win in our book! Our son wouldn't normally play Barbies with his sister, but he loved designing cakes/cupcakes and playing bakery with this set. Some of our favorite things about this Barbie set are: Barbie's pink hair, the fact that Barbie can stand on her own, the two different colors of dough, the heart indenter on the frosting tool, and the spinning cake turner on the top. The spinning cake topper was definitely a favorite since they could spin it around as they &quot;decorated&quot; their cakes!
