There&rsquo;s a reasonable amount of assemble required and the instructions aren&rsquo;t really clear at all. My son (8) definitely couldn&rsquo;t set if up on his own. Once we had it set up we then couldn&rsquo;t really work out exactly what you were meant to do with it. None of the chutes that the bakugan roll down really give them enough speed or momentum to zoom around like you&rsquo;d want them to, and the two spinners/flippers on the sides seem to be badly positioned as the bakugan never end up hitting them. We had to watch some YouTube videos to understand the point of the game, and even then it was honestly just not that exciting to play with. Annoyingly the box was ripped so we also can&rsquo;t really pack it away when it&rsquo;s not in use and it&rsquo;s BIG! All the stuffs were comfortable enough to fit. Engaging in battles with this arena adds a new dimension to play. The spinning Dragonoid is a great addition, although mastering its use takes practice and time .The customization is a much appreciable improvement that has much options to enhance gameplay, offering varied experiences. I did find the arena slightly challenging to set up initially, but once done, it held up well. The only negative aspect is that I feel it's quite Pricey but I do think all Bakugan accessories make sense . My children liked the spinning toy too. I found the assembly photos a bit confusing at times but I figured it out by referencing the photos on the box. There were no written assembly instructions, just photos. Once assembled, I quickly realized that in order to play, you need more than what is included in the box. This is a 2 player game and each player needs 3 Bakugan figures and 2 gate cards to play. This set comes with 1 Bakugan and 2 gate cards. If you're new to Bakugan, that means you will need to buy in addition to this set: 5 Bakugan figures and 2 gate cards. Gate cards come with Bakugan figures but my son said he only has the older style ones that don't have the special symbols required to play this game properly. Now we need to make additional purchases to acquire these special gate cards that come with the newer figures. He especially would like to buy the spinning figures since he thinks they are a lot more fun than the rolling ones. We still played with the set for now to get used to how it works. I have to admit that he was a bit frustrated at first because we didn't have everything we needed to play but once he got playing with the spinning figures he said he loved it. Overall, I think this is a great set for Bakugan lovers. This big arena includes the playing cards, a special Bakugan with training bots. The arena was big enough for more than 2 older kids to play together and assemble, without adult assistance! It was an easy game to play, with moving parts in the arena. This set has a launcher for the Dragonoid, so it mixes well with other play sets. My kids can't wait to have friends over to play with them. The instructions for building the arena are all pictures so there is no guidance other than that. It wasn't difficult to put together but a few times it took a moment to understand what they were showing you to do. At one point I thought we were missing cards because of the instructions however, it became clear it was only to show you where to put the cards and assumes you have all the additional cards already. It would have been nice if the arena came with an additional Bakugan or Dragonoid rather than just one. My son loves to play with Bakugans and had never owned a battle arena before. He loved battling with the Dragonoid and the few Bakugans we currently have.
