My kids already have several bakugan, so they knew to use the magnet card to open it from a ball to character. What made this different was it came in 2 pieces (halves). You put them together and it functions like the other bakugans. It fits nicely into their bakugan cases as the ball size is the same. When they get older, we look forward to playing the game with it.</span>
