We bought it so that if our son had to &quot;go on the go&quot; he'd actually be comfortable sitting on a big toilette (otherwise he'd go in his diaper). It seems well constructed, it's cushy, love that it folds down and is small enough to easily fit in his diaper bag. Super easy to whip out when needed and has its own carry bag which I appreciate simply for sanitary reasons. There are 2 issues. One, that the split-front design means there's no splash guard for little boys so you have to make sure they're pointed in the right direction and even then it's not fool-proof. Second, while it fits fine on a regular household toilet, it's not so great on the much larger ones in typical public restrooms which is the whole reason we purchased it (malls, travel stops, a lot of restaurants). It will stay on the seat, your kid isn't going to fall in or anything, but for little kids (my son is only 2) they tend to sink into it, especially because their legs will tend to roll inwards towards the split in the seat front (where the same split in the toilet seat is). The only way around this is to completely remove their pants so they can perch their legs wider (pretty inconvenient in a small bathroom stall). So overall it does work and ultimately serves its purpose, but could it be better? This got me thinking that there was a travel version of a potty seat. Best invention ever. I don't have to lug around the awkward circular seat anymore. This folding seat is discreet and makes the whole process easy. Since we have 2 cars, I bought one for each so we never forget it when we go out. It folds down and fits in my purse. It fits great on toilets and does not move around to much. It is easy to pack, easy to clean. VERY lightweight and takes up very little space in your luggage. It does fold up too so you are not lugging a disc around.
