The first lasted a month for some reason and so I exchanged it thinking it was a lemon. My second one that is currently dying is now about 2 years old. My daughter really played with it a lot though. I don't know if it's from overuse or I just keep getting ones that don't last terribly long. It is a really great piano though. It can sit flat or on legs. The legs ARE removable. It's not the easiest thing to remove them, but it's good so kids can't remove them themselves. It needs a carpet to stay still, otherwise your walking baby will use it as a walker across the room. :P It has settings to teach instruments, colors, shapes, a few animal sounds and can play songs with lights at the touch of a button or you can play your own song. The sounds also are good quality and sounds nice to hear over and over and over as they play. My daughter cannot support herself long enough at age 7 months to play with it. Now, we have to wait for her to be able to use it.
