We have two month old twin boys and when one baby doesn&rsquo;t sleep, he gets the other one going. They fall asleep almost instantly when put down on the mat, and it&rsquo;s been helping with the length of time they&rsquo;ve been sleeping. I gave it a 4 star because of two things. First, the mat does not turn off and so we run through batteries fast. I do wish for a rechargeable mat. Second, I wish it had a low tone heartbeat option too. It just seems that the only sound my baby does not startle with is the first vibrating one. However if I cover the mat with a thick blanket that seems to help. Overall it&rsquo;s a good product that can be used anywhere. We keep it in our baby's crib, and it helps in calming him down before naps and bed. The one problem is that the batteries don't last too long (we bough rechargeable ones for this reason), and it is a bit of a process to replace them as it requires a screw driver and keeping track of a teeny-tiny screw.
