It has a kick stand (another reviewer said that they did not recieve a kick stand) and it's a sturdy bike. Putting it together was easy. We ordered this bike online. When it arrived we opened the box and it came with training wheels and no kick stand. We ended up having to go and buy a kickstand. My son has only used it for a few weeks now but It seems like a good quality bike.
