The kit comes with 4-character templates, and she had made each one numerous times. The kit also comes with the pieces to make keychains, so everyone in our house has an animal crossing keychain. I was not sure how they would hold up, but it has been a month since my keys were attached, and it is still holding strong. However, as there is only one board, they must take turns and allow the product to dry for an hour before removing it from the board. Multiple boards would be an improvement so that multiple children can do the same craft at the same time. When building them, the dot grid helps a lot so they don't roll out of place. After done building them, they stay intact and are fairly durable, and after about two hours from when you're done they're completely dry and would take a lot of force to rip them apart. Even if they do come apart, they can be put back onto the grid, sprayed with water, and they're back to new! It takes about an hour for the water to dry up naturally and sometimes it was hard to get the kids to wait. I found a little drying shortcut, a hairdryer on low heat for a minute or two to help get the drying a head start since the kids kept trying to pick up their creations too soon. I wish there were some extra beads for each design because you can&rsquo;t make two of the same design so if you have little ones who want the same thing it&rsquo;s worthwhile to get a second set. We had trouble getting the designs to look right with the cards under the plastic holder so we did some simple math instead. We used the beads to do some counting, the kids learned to count how many beads in each row rather than trying to have the picture under the clear plastic bead holder. We had trouble figuring out the right colors and style of bead so the kids got creative. After drying, the included hooks made the designs into backpack buddies, a little glue might help keep the attachments on better. This is a nice set for kids and grownups to work on together or to just let the kids enjoy since all they add is water.
