At first he was getting frustrated making sure each bead went in the right spot without the whole frame moving. Then I set his frame on a silicone mat so it wouldn&rsquo;t move around and he was a lot happier. Takes some patience, but otherwise it&rsquo;s very easy and simple to do. My kids had a great time using the design cards to mimic the designs as well as come up with some of their own. Only downfall is that it didn&rsquo;t come with tweezers or a bead stick to place them where you wanted. It came in a nice size carrying case that you can easily organize the colored beads in. He loves playing with small intricate toys. They are definitely a hit with him, but also with my older son (10). They both had so much fun making the designs. They carrying case is great, and works well to sort and store the beads. Honestly, it's hard for me to pick them up out of the case without tweezers, but they have no problem. The design guide is easy to see through the placing plate, so it's easy to follow the designs. It's also great to be creative with! They had alot of fun just freelancing their own designs! I let them dry alot longer than the instructions recommended, and they hold together great. It also comes with the spray bottle for water, and the best part is the pen. The pen is so nice for picking up and placing the beads where you need them. I do think the instructions do need to increase the drying time, because most of our creations took over the 10 minute drying time.
