Not a surprise they were a huge hit! They are now asking for more for their next birthday and Christmas. The little figures are not super tiny, but small. About like they should be. They pop on and off the joystick piece easily (I&rsquo;ve showed my 9 year old one time and he does it by himself&mdash; hooray!) The boys (9 and 4) use the figures to battle each other and I&rsquo;m over here winning because we&rsquo;re doing no screen play! The figure itself (Giant Beast) is a like a beefy character. And has an amour thing that helps guard him. Like all the characters their head flips back and they split in half. Then the kids can put them back in place and go again. What&rsquo;s not to love here? Something to collect, that&rsquo;s small, play with, no sound (except the plastic moving on the pieces together; unless you have an arena and the sound button &ldquo;on&rdquo;). The arm and leg functions are a bit sticky however it was enjoyed in the house. Beyond battling with them, he also just enjoys examining their unique features and collecting them. Ever since he heard of the Giants, he has been asking for one and was so excited to get Gold Tusk. The Giants are about double the size of the typical Akedo warrior and come with armour which is unique to the Giants. The Giants are almost always going to beat the normal Akedo's do to their size but it's still a fun battle to witness! The Giant's also come with their own controller but also fit on the same fighting platforms as all of the other size Akedo's. When I asked my son what his favorite part of Gold Tusk was, he said &quot;when his armour pops off&quot;. Admittedly, it is pretty cool. The armour is spring loaded and when the Giant is hit his armour will fly off. After the armour is off you can get a split strike but having that armour is like double then protection. My son is already asking for more Giants so they can battle each other and I'm pretty excited to see what he ends up with next.
