My kids and I challenge his friends to matches constantly. Wish I could say that we decided to letting his friend win on purpose, to build up his confidence. But truthfully, he racks up split strikes nonstop whenever he playing with one of her favorite warriors. We like these warriors and would recommend them for anyone expanding their collection, , the Akedo packs have a random &quot;mystery hero&quot; that are collectable and have various rarities. This set comes with a single controller that you can use. Other collector sets, I only put 4 starts because one of our epic guys from the starter pack I ordered our character &quot;Shutdown&quot; broke at the hinges after a few uses. After the initial excitement wore off, these toys were quickly forgotten about. They are too small to be action figures and something you can play with outside of their intended purpose. They just didn&rsquo;t hold any attention to the kids and we quickly regifted them to another friend after our first time playing with them. I have a 4 and 6 year old who love playing with toys and can entertain themselves for hours if they have the right toys. My kids had fun with this starter pack. It was hard for them to play together since the starter pack only includes one battle controller. The figures were also difficult for both my 6 year old and 8 year old to attach to the controller. Both kids liked how the figures can break apart when hit.
