The doors open easily to gain access to the inside of the van. My girls were a bit frustrated because the included doll's legs are too long to be able to fit in the vans seats very well. They do fit but barely. They thought that the pool on top of the van was cool, but disappointed that the color change didn't work very well. It barely changed enough to recognize the new color. All in all it is an ok toy, but didn't hold interest for very long.</span>
